Challenges

Dapper and Dolled is a wedding planning and resource company and they wanted to list different categories of vendors with advanced search functionality for couples to find the best vendors easily based on their style and budget.
They wanted a unique wedding social media type of functionality where if couples like photos from some specific page on the website, those photos will be shown on their profile under liked photo section so that in the future they can use them for reference.
They needed different subscription plans for vendors so that the vendor’s profile and information can be shown in search results with priority according to their subscription plan.
They also needed auto-renewal of the vendor’s subscription plans.
Couples who are planning their wedding, can register on the website, and create their profile where they can show the information related to their wedding event, photos, videos, and their story. They can also see recommended vendors based on their needs.
A question and answer section where couples can ask questions to specific category vendors and Vendors will provide answers to the questions.

Solution

After a brief discussion with the customer, Our WordPress development services team figured out the required solution with custom feature development & use of some existing wordpress & Woocommerce plugins.
For couple’s and vendor’s profiles, We created custom pages with functionality to input their story and bulk upload pictures.
For Vendor’s subscription plan, auto-renewal, and content restriction in the vendor’s profile according to their subscription plan, Our WordPress Developers used the WooCommerce plugin for subscription and Woocommerce Membership. We combined the functionality of two plugins to include auto-renewal of the subscription plan. This saved a lot of time in the development process.
For the Couple’s profile page, Our WooCommerce experts did customization in the membership plugin so that couples can register on the website for free and create their profiles with different roles than the vendors.
Custom functionality was developed so that the website admin can create Dapper inspiration and Dolled Inspiration pages, Users can like the images and those images are saved in the profile under liked photo section.
For questions and answers, we developed functionality so that couples can select relevant categories while posting questions, Related Vendors can see the questions and post their answers. That way couples can easily get answers to their questions from specific vendors.
