The website of this business was built on Magento 1 which was not working as per the business’s requirement and was inefficient in offering complete security. Magento 1 had many security vulnerabilities and it was necessary to install and apply those security patches. So, that the store stays secure and no data leaks or loss of business happen, in case of any malicious attack done on the website.
The company is a spiritual blogger with an existing WordPress blog site and a huge following. Their business was in need of an e-commerce website to sell spiritual music, videos, and clothes to spread its message.
The business had custom requirements to show blog videos on each category and product detail pages, for customers to relate to the spiritual messages which were connected with the blogs.
The company wanted to show previews/trailers of audio and videos on category and product detail pages so that the customers can listen to or view the digital products before they purchase them.
The business had some products which were available in a pair. So, if the customer was looking at one of the products then another pair of products should be visible before adding the first product to the basket. If the customer likes another product then both can be purchased together.
The company had to make a decision to migrate from Magento 1 to Magento 2. This was necessary to eliminate the existing security vulnerabilities and do improvements in the checkout process to enhance their customer’s shopping experience.

Solution

Our Magento 2 developers upgraded their website to the new platform Magento 2 . Their website is now up to date with the latest trends and overcome the security vulnerabilities of the previous version. This made their website more effective with the help of the robust and increased performance of Magento 2.
A custom feature was developed so that spiritual videos from YouTube are shown on the front pages of categories and products, based on each specified in the Magento Admin panel.
Another customized solution was offered so, that the customers can listen to part of the music or watch the trailer of the video before they purchase the digital products.
Our Magento 2 development team developed a custom solution to add a paired product from Magento Admin in each product and that was shown in the front so, customers can purchase both products together.
With the setup of our in-house developed Icecube Digital’s extension MageIce OneStep Checkout, we improved the customer shopping experience. Also, customizations were made to support the sales of physical products and downloadable products.
